The best eSIM for the Middle East is the one that covers every country on your route at a sensible total price. That sounds obvious until you compare the packages: a MENA plan can leave out Oman, while a plan called Best Middle East can exclude the UAE.
This guide compares eight providers, with a UAE + Oman trip as the starting example. It also explains what changes when you add Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt or Turkey.

Quick Verdict
- Start with Airalo for a wider regional trip. Its Menalink package includes all six Gulf states plus Jordan and Egypt. A 10GB, 15-day package costs US$27.00; Turkey is outside its coverage.
- Jetpac is the budget pick for our UAE + Oman example. Its current 10GB, 30-day sale package costs US$24.00. Its MENA list leaves out Jordan and Bahrain.
- Use Nomad eSIM’s GCC package for a Gulf-only route. The 10GB, 30-day option costs US$29.00. Its separate, cheaper MENA package has a different country list and does not include Oman.
- For substantial hotspot use, look at Ubigi Best World. Its 15-day unlimited option costs US$77.00, with 30GB at full speed shared across the plan, then up to 2 Mbps. Holafly’s Middle East package limits hotspot to 1GB per day.

Which Countries Does Each Middle East eSIM Cover?
GCC, Middle East and MENA are product labels, not interchangeable coverage promises. Check the exact package, especially if your route combines the Gulf with Jordan, Egypt or Turkey.
Coverage that changes the buying decision
| Package | Useful coverage | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Airalo · Menalink | UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait; also Jordan and Egypt | Turkey is excluded |
| Nomad eSIM · GCC | All six Gulf states | Jordan, Egypt and Turkey are excluded; MENA is a different package |
| Jetpac · MENA | UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco and Turkey | Jordan and Bahrain are excluded |
| Saily · MENA | All six Gulf states; also Jordan, Egypt and Turkey | Country coverage is broader than Nomad GCC, but the same data amount costs more |
| Sim Local · Middle East | UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Morocco and Turkey | Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain are not in the package’s named country list |
| Ubigi · Best World | All six Gulf states; also Jordan, Egypt and Turkey | Best Middle East is a separate product that does not include the UAE |
| aloSIM · Global | All six Gulf states; also Jordan, Egypt and Turkey | Global coverage carries a higher price for a short regional trip |
| Holafly · Middle East | UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt and Turkey | Bahrain and Kuwait are excluded |
For Dubai → Muscat → Doha, Airalo Menalink, Nomad GCC, Jetpac MENA, Saily MENA, Ubigi Best World, aloSIM Global and Holafly Middle East cover those three stops. Sim Local’s package above does not list Qatar. If you add Amman, Nomad GCC and Jetpac MENA no longer cover the complete route.
A country appearing in a package does not guarantee reception on every desert road or mountain trail. Download maps before leaving populated areas, and treat network names as access options rather than a promise of speed.
Middle East eSIM Prices for 7- and 14-Day Trips
Our fixed-data comparison uses one person visiting the UAE and Oman: at least 5GB for a seven-day trip, or at least 10GB for fourteen days. These are comparison budgets, not a promise that everyone uses that amount. The data is shared across the route, not renewed at each border.
UAE + Oman: complete fixed-data package prices
| Provider and package | 7 days · at least 5GB | 14 days · at least 10GB |
|---|---|---|
| Jetpac · MENA | US$14.50 5GB / 30 days · sale | US$24.00 10GB / 30 days · sale |
| Airalo · Menalink | US$15.00 5GB / 7 days | US$27.00 10GB / 15 days |
| Nomad eSIM · GCC | US$17.00 5GB / 30 days | US$29.00 10GB / 30 days |
| Sim Local · Middle East | US$19.25 5GB / 30 days | US$32.25 10GB / 30 days |
| Saily · MENA | US$27.99 5GB / 30 days | US$44.99 10GB / 30 days |
| aloSIM · Global | US$35.00 5GB / 30 days | US$50.00 10GB / 30 days |
| Ubigi · Best World | US$39.00 10GB / 30 days | US$39.00 10GB / 30 days |
For the two-week example, Airalo costs US$3.00 more than Jetpac and adds Jordan and Bahrain to the country list. Nomad GCC costs US$2.00 more than Airalo and gives the same 10GB a full 30-day validity. Choose the coverage and validity that fit your itinerary.
Unlimited alternatives: compare the limits as well as the price
These packages also cover the UAE + Oman route, but they are not equivalents to a fixed 10GB allowance. A daily high-speed limit, a total high-speed allowance and a separate hotspot cap behave differently.
UAE + Oman: unlimited options and the package you actually buy
| Provider and package | For a 7-day trip | For a 14-day trip |
|---|---|---|
| Airalo · Menalink | US$41.00 7-day package | US$79.00 15-day package |
| Jetpac · MENA | US$42.00 7-day package | US$83.50 14-day package |
| Holafly · Middle East | US$42.90 7-day package | US$78.90 14-day package |
| Ubigi · Best World | US$49.00 8-day package | US$77.00 15-day package |
- Airalo: 3GB per 24 hours, then up to 1 Mbps until the next reset. Airalo’s general unlimited guidance describes the initial allowance as 20 Mbps. Hotspot draws from the same allowance.
- Jetpac: 3GB per 24 hours at standard network speeds, then up to 1 Mbps until the next cycle. Hotspot is supported.
- Holafly: unlimited phone data subject to fair use; the regional page does not give one numeric high-speed allowance. Hotspot is limited to 1GB per day.
- Ubigi Best World: 25GB total at full speed on the eight-day option, or 30GB total on the fifteen-day option, then up to 2 Mbps. Data sharing is allowed.
My pick for a busy two-week trip with laptop sharing is Ubigi’s 15-day Best World option. Its 30GB high-speed pool lets you spend more on a workday and less on a sightseeing day. If you use a fairly steady amount each day, compare that with Airalo’s daily allowance instead. Neither is a substitute for checking the connection where you plan to work.
How we compared: published package prices, country lists and material conditions checked on October 13, 2026. Recommendations use the full purchase cost before reader codes. We compare documented terms; coverage and real-world speeds still depend on location, network conditions and your device.

Airalo: a strong starting point for a wider itinerary
Airalo balances broad regional coverage with useful short-trip prices. Menalink includes 13 destinations and covers the Gulf, Jordan and Egypt. It is a practical first shortlist for a mixed itinerary, with Turkey as the obvious gap.

The 15-day 10GB option is the useful middle ground for a two-week trip. Pay for 30 days if your dates need it. For unlimited, Airalo’s fair-use policy explains the daily reset and tethering rules; the 3GB allowance is shared between the phone and connected devices.
Choose Airalo if…
Your trip combines Gulf countries with Jordan or Egypt, and you want a choice of fixed data or a daily unlimited allowance.
Consider another option if…
Turkey is on the same route, or you need more than the unlimited package’s daily high-speed budget.

Nomad eSIM: choose GCC when Oman is on the route
Nomad eSIM is easy to miscompare if you only read the regional name. GCC covers all six Gulf states; MENA trades Oman for a wider North Africa and Jordan footprint. The cheaper package is useful only when its country list fits.

For Dubai and Muscat, choose GCC. For Dubai, Doha and Amman, MENA can be the better match. In both cases, the allowance is a single shared balance. Nomad’s product terms start the selected plan on a supported connection, or automatically after 60 days if it remains unused.

Jetpac: the lowest fixed-data price in our UAE + Oman comparison

The fixed 10GB package is the useful price benchmark here. Its eight-country MENA list covers the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco and Turkey. That is enough for several Gulf trips, but an Amman stop needs a different package or provider. Unlimited is a separate daily-quota product, not an upgrade to unrestricted full-speed data.
Choose Jetpac if…
Your complete itinerary fits the eight-country list and you want the current lower fixed-data price.
Consider another option if…
Your route includes Jordan or Bahrain, or you need a daily unlimited package without throttling.
Regional · Middle East and North Africa
Saily: broader coverage, with a substantial price premium
Saily’s MENA package includes both the Gulf and Turkey. Its current list also includes Jordan and Egypt. The reason to choose it is that coverage mix and its plan-management features, rather than the cheapest 5GB or 10GB price.

Buy before entering the UAE. Saily’s regional page states that its eSIMs cannot be purchased from within the United Arab Emirates. Preload the data you need for the full trip. For Turkey, Saily’s activation guidance also says to purchase and activate before arrival because its website and top-ups are unavailable there.
The 10GB tier is expensive in this comparison. If you already prefer Saily and expect heavier use, the 20GB option adds another 10GB for US$10.00. That is the more persuasive upgrade within its own range.
Choose Saily if…
You already use Saily, your route needs its wider country mix, or its 20GB tier fits your usage.
Consider another option if…
Your priority is the lowest regional price, or you expect to buy the package after arriving in the UAE.

This is a useful alternative for a route such as Dubai → Muscat → Amman → Istanbul. It is not a general Gulf pass: Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain are absent from the named package list. The storefront’s country count is less useful than checking those actual names.
The package allows tethering and top-ups. Its 30-day validity makes the 5GB tier more flexible than a seven-day starter plan if your trip is longer but your data use is modest.
Choose Sim Local if…

Select Best World for a UAE + Oman route. Ubigi’s separate Best Middle East product does not include the UAE. A reusable Ubigi profile does not make every installed package valid everywhere.
Best World is particularly interesting if you continue beyond the region. The 25GB, three-month package costs US$20.00 more than 10GB for 30 days. For a shorter trip with large uploads on some days, the 15-day unlimited package offers a shared 30GB high-speed pool instead of a daily reset.

aloSIM: broad coverage for an itinerary beyond the Middle East

The included Hushed offer is an app-based number. It does not give the eSIM a local UAE, Omani or Saudi cellular number. Calling depends on internet access and applicable local restrictions, so do not choose this package solely to solve calling in the Gulf.
Global coverage also changes setup timing. If your home country is included, an iPhone can activate the package while it is being installed. Follow aloSIM’s installation and activation guidance and avoid starting the validity days before departure.

The trip continues across multiple regions, or the 20GB tier fits better than repeated small purchases.

Holafly: unlimited phone data with a separate hotspot ceiling
Holafly suits phone-focused travelers who prefer choosing the number of days. It is less persuasive as a shared laptop connection because its hotspot allowance is separate from unlimited phone data.

The attraction is predictable trip-length pricing for your phone. The limitation is equally clear: a 1GB daily hotspot allowance can be restrictive for laptop video calls, backups or downloads. Holafly’s unlimited-data explanation also allows temporary operator speed reductions.
Its Middle East package includes the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and Turkey, plus Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus and Israel. Bahrain and Kuwait are outside this package. Choose by those countries, not by the unlimited label alone.
Choose Holafly if…
You mainly use data on your phone, all stops fit the country list, and daily hotspot use stays modest.

One Regional eSIM or Two Local Plans?
A regional package buys flexibility. Local packages can lower the bill, but they divide your data into separate balances. Here is a concrete example for a two-week UAE + Oman trip using Nomad eSIM’s regular prices.
A 10GB route budget: shared data versus separate balances
| Purchase | How the data works | Total price (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| One Nomad GCC package | 10GB shared across the UAE and Oman 30-day validity | US$29.00 |
| Two Nomad local packages | UAE: 5GB / 30 days at US$11.00 Oman: 5GB / 30 days at US$13.00 | US$24.00 |
The local pair saves US$5.00 if a 5GB + 5GB split suits you. If you use 8GB in the UAE and 2GB in Oman, the shared regional allowance is more useful: the local UAE package would need more data even though the Omani package still has some left.
For a single-country stay, start with our UAE and Dubai eSIM guide or Egypt eSIM guide. A regional package is not automatically the best value just because your flight connects through another country.
If the journey continues further, use our destination eSIM guides and travel eSIM comparison to build the shortlist around the complete itinerary.
Activation, Border Crossings and Calls: What to Check Before Departure
Set up the phone before you need the connection
- Confirm compatibility and carrier unlock. The exact device variant matters; use our eSIM compatibility checklist.
- Buy and install while you have a reliable connection. Follow the package’s activation rule. For a global plan that covers your home country, installation can start validity early.
- Label the lines clearly. Select the travel eSIM for mobile data, enable roaming on that eSIM if required, and disable mobile-data switching to the home line. Turn off data roaming on your home SIM.
- Save the provider’s instructions offline. Keep the APN details and support route available. After crossing a border, let the phone reconnect; if necessary, toggle Airplane Mode and check the selected data line.
- Keep the data budget realistic. Maps and messages need far less than laptop updates and video. Use our travel data planning guide and turn off large automatic downloads.
For device-specific steps, see eSIM installation on iPhone or eSIM installation on Android. Avoid deleting a working eSIM just because the phone takes a moment to register on a new network.
Data access does not guarantee WhatsApp or FaceTime calls
Messaging, voice calls and video calls are different services. In the UAE, internet calling is regulated, and the regulator maintains a list of approved services. Do not treat a travel eSIM or a provider’s generic “WhatsApp works” statement as a guarantee that every calling feature will work.
Use the TDRA’s current internet-calling guidance when planning calls in the UAE. For a local cellular number, choose a product that explicitly includes one; a data package or a Hushed app number is a different service.
Treat hotspot as part of the data budget
With a fixed-data package, your laptop and phone normally consume the same balance. With daily unlimited plans, a large download can use the day’s faster data early. Holafly adds a separate sharing cap, while Ubigi’s listed Best World unlimited options use a total high-speed pool. Our travel eSIM hotspot guide explains the setup and common limitations.
Final Verdict: Choose the Package Around the Route
Airalo is my starting recommendation for a mixed Gulf, Jordan and Egypt itinerary. Its fixed-data prices are competitive, and its coverage avoids several common regional gaps. For the specific UAE + Oman route, Jetpac’s current fixed-data sale is cheaper.
Choose Nomad GCC for a Gulf-only trip when 30-day validity is useful. Look at Ubigi Best World when the journey continues beyond the region or you want a larger shared high-speed allowance for hotspot use. Saily, Sim Local, aloSIM and Holafly each have a role, but their coverage or data format needs to solve something specific in your itinerary.
The right order is simple: check every country, choose the allowance and validity, then compare the full price. A cheap package that misses one stop is not the cheapest way to stay connected for the trip.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there one eSIM for every Middle Eastern country?
Do not assume so. The packages compared here have different lists, and even a global plan needs checking against each stop. This guide does not establish coverage for every destination in the region, including Lebanon, Iran, Syria or Yemen.
Which eSIM works in both Dubai and Oman?
The specific packages compared here do: Airalo Menalink, Nomad GCC, Jetpac MENA, Saily MENA, Sim Local Middle East, Ubigi Best World, aloSIM Global and Holafly Middle East. Nomad MENA and Ubigi Best Middle East are different products and should not be substituted.
Does a regional allowance reset when I enter another country?
No. A fixed regional allowance is one balance for the entire package. Moving from the UAE to Oman does not turn 10GB into another 10GB. Daily unlimited allowances reset according to the provider’s time cycle, not when you cross a border.
Is a 30-day package wasted on a one-week trip?
Not necessarily. Compare the full price and data allowance. A 30-day package can cost less than a seven-day alternative, and extra validity may help if your dates change. Unused data is still unused data, so do not buy a larger tier solely for a lower price per GB.
Can I keep my home number for banking texts?
On a compatible dual-SIM phone, you can keep the home line active while using the travel eSIM for data. SMS reception depends on your home carrier’s roaming support. Check its charges for calls and texts; switching off data roaming alone does not disable all billable services.
Can a family share one Middle East eSIM?
